Action-Planning

Planning may lead to talking in circles if there aren’t any actionable steps that your team feels connected to in a meaningful way. Answering the ‘whys’ for not only the team’s bottom-line, but also for each person involved can help reduce the daunting feelings around taking the first or next step.

CliftonStrengths

An introductory workshop to talent themes, understanding unique talent expression, and leveraging talent amongst the team.

CliftonStrengths ‘For The Culture’

So you love Gallup’s CliftonStrengths System and really want to dive into how individual talent is impacted by identity development? It’s time we talk. When creating a culture for a team, we should steer away from suggesting that individual contributors (ICs) assimilate to a system or culture that encourages them to suppress their authentic selves. This workshop informs the IC, but more importantly the managers, on how individual expression positively contributes to the team culture.

Conflict Management

Not all conflict can be resolved, but it can be managed. Learning your go-to style of conflict management and when it’s appropriate to utilize other styles could drastically improve not only the relationship you have with others, but also the one you have with yourself. Guiding a team through this discussion helps uncover themes in how the team works together and how improvements could be made for the future.

Creating Safe & Brave Spaces

Authenticity is a sensitive topic, as there are many spaces - especially the workplace - where it may not feel safe to be vulnerable. Learning to create a safer and braver space at work could increase the likelihood of sharing pieces of themselves that impact their performance. Doing so includes, but is not limited to exploring and defining the terms respect and civility as a community, creating community standards, and self-education.

Developing Your talent [Cliftonstrengths]

Moving beyond understanding individual talent, the next step is learning how to develop it. This action-centered approach utilized in this workshop is best applied in one-to-one coaching, but can also be done in a team setting. By understanding contributions of individual talent and needs of the individual contributor, motivations are discovered. Knowing and understanding motivations create a clearer pathway to developing and strengthening talent.

Emotional Intelligence

The impact that EQ [emotional quotient] has on the culture of your team is often overlooked. And unlike IQ, EQ is not static. It can be developed and enhanced with knowledge and skill building. Reading and addressing emotions is not a natural talent for everyone. Increasing comfort with these skills can drastically improve the performance of your team.

E.P.I.C. Failures: overcoming mistakes

E.P.I.C. is an acronym developed around an approach to facing and overcoming mistakes, because they happen. Shame and embarrassment can delay or even halt the process of navigating the situation and it’s aftermath. Provided with action steps to overcome, anyone can feel empowered to face the mistake and mitigate it’s impact.

Feedback

Let’s increase the ease and comfort of providing feedback by practicing the S.B.I. [situation. behavior. impact] model. In this experiential workshop, your team will learn how delivery impacts the receipt of feedback, as well as how to utilize the S.B.I. model when sharing with others.

Managing the team [cliftonstrengths]

Want to improve the team? Start with the manager(s). Learning how the team is lead by the talent of the managers will uncover how individual contributors’ talent expression is impacted. This workshop is for managers, supervisors, and those in training to lead a team.

Mentorship

Establishing a mentor-relationship takes shape in many forms. Learning the different types and how to establish, maintain, and sunset a mentor-relationship will benefit all parties involved.

Presenting & speaking with impact

Many people are uncomfortable presenting for many reasons; anxiety, lack of creativity, lack of knowledge, etc. Learning and practicing steps to prepare a speech or presentation could reduce anxiety, create space for creativity, and showcase the presenter as knowledgeable before their audience. Individual contributors will feel more confident presenting their ideas inside and outside of the team.

What’s your why? Values-Exploration

Many of us can list what’s important to us, but when was the last time you explored how what’s important to you is connected to the work you do everyday…. or even how you do it? A sense of connection to “the work” isn’t required for all, but it can make a difference for all.
